here’s how i got it working

1- ftp contents overwriting /var/
2- open telnet to box and do chmod 755 /var/sbin/zapstream
3- in telnet do killall -q inetd
4- now reload inetd with the edited cfg in telnet inetd /var/etc/inetd.conf

now just open vlc and and point it at port 31344

File > Open Network Stream > HTTP.. then dream.box.i.p:31344

Need to read RSS news directly to the dreambox. To add more sites to be edited / var / tuxbox / config / rss / feeds.xml.

Works on all models except dreambox DM7025. To install copy the files “rss-x.cfg” and “rss-x.so” / var / tuxbox / plugins / create the directory / var / tuxbox / config / rss and copy in the file “feeds.xml.
